Jeremy ‘JD’ de Alcala
Meet Jeremy “JD” De Alcala
Chief Operating Officer, start date January 2001
I hold a BA and an MBA in Business Administration from Concordia University Texas. In addition to my 25 years serving at Chick-fil-A, I have also owned a small business, and volunteered my time serving on various civic and non-profit boards and commissions. I am currently the president of the Austin chapter of Iron Sharpens Iron, a networking and mentorship organization for emerging Chick-fil-A leaders, which I co-founded in 2023.
My Chick-fil-A journey began in January of 2001, at the Grand Opening of Ken Massey’s South Mopac location. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the Lord was placing me on a path that would forever change the trajectory of my life. Ken saw potential in me, and as the Chick-fil-A brand began to grow, I too was able to grow in my personal life and my professional career. In 2007 we Grand Opened our second location at I-35 & Ben White Blvd. where I was named General Manager. Over the years I have held several titles, including Chief People Officer, and my current role of Chief Operating Officer, however at the heart of my job has always been serving others. I am incredibly blessed to also be a husband to my wonderful wife of over 20 years and father to our 3 incredible children, and we are excited to see where the Lord takes us as I continue along my Chick-fil-A journey!
In my role as COO, I execute the strategic vision for a multi-unit enterprise, driving performance, culture, and profitability through operational excellence and people development.
A project that I’d like to highlight is the development of a business framework that will help guide the next generation of leaders at Chick-fil-A.
I believe that at CKM Chick-fil-A’s, we are truly committed to investing in people, and in doing so, we are developing a new generation of purpose-driven servant leaders!
